    Propane tank to air tank.

I have a 100 lb tank that I can't use anymore. Still in good shape and I have heard of people making a air tank. I want to add a second air tank to my compressor for more air storage so I can run tools longer. Since I do not have a large compressor I have to run my tools for a short while and them wait till the pressure builds up. Would love to have a large compress like the Car/Fix show but two things stop me. Money and no place to put one. Any ideas ?

After I asked this I pulled the valve. Tank had sat too long with no propane and I see rust. No go. I have another one that is in use but will have to be pulled when they realise it it out of date. I plan to keep propane in till I am ready then drain and remove valve. Gonna blow out with dry air and fill with CO2 before trying anything. Hope it works.

Drop some dry ice in it.Cover the holes with duct tape. The dry ice will displace whats left in the tank and in the metal.
